What was the best date you've ever gone on? Was it the company or what you did that made it so good? Are you more into romantic dates or would you rather go for the adventurous type of date?

I can't pick the best date.
I have a special place in my memory banks for a few different dates and they are there for different reasons.
I remember the first time I met Jeff face to face... it was the first time I'd ever been found so irresistible that he had to kiss me as soon as the elevator doors closed. It felt wonderful to be so wanted and so that date gets banked.
I remember my first face to face with Rafael... I'd never been to NYC and between the handsome and sweet company and the excitement of a real opportunity to see a place that I'd never been to... well that whole weekend gets banked.
I remember the first Christmas season that Rafael and I spent together and how he worked so hard to do something special and we spent the day taking a drive in the mountains and the evening on a tour of the Biltmore House. He could always make things special if he wanted to so those times get banked too.
I have banked the "not really a date" time spent with Tony because it was fun and spontaneous and he made me laugh the whole time.
I have banked the movie dates with Kevin because he always thought it was cool to be with me because of the laughs and the fact that we both loved going to the movies.
I have banked only one of the many dates with Tim because it was bittersweet... he asked me to marry him and I told him that I couldn't because of his inability to give up using marijuana. It was a special last date, romantically sad.
I remember my first date with J... it wasn't supposed to be anything other than fun and while it was fun, more fun than I expected it also turned into a long term relationship... so it gets banked.
The second date with J gets banked special because he brought me two dozen roses and it was the first time in my life anyone ever gave me flowers on a date.
Oddly enough of the long term relationships and the casual dates I've had the moments that stick with me are the ordinary ones where the conversations were real and the connection was tangible... and of all those moments in my life, J wins the lottery hands down.

I tend to have horrible first dates, missed meetings, sickness, weirdos, and snow. Maybe someday I'll have one....lol

It's hard to just pick one when you've been dating as long as I have, lol.
The first real love of my life, Ross, for our first anniversary (paper) bought tickets for us to fly to Quebec City for the weekend and we stayed at the Chateau Frontenac. It was an amazing trip, very romantic, lots of fun, huge snow storm, great French food, and so much more. It was all wonderfully romantic and I felt incredibly special.
My ex-husband and I had many trips which were special, several to Cape Cod, Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. We actually married on Cape Cod. Another trip was to Vancouver, Victoria and Washington State and I'll never forget climbing up Mount Ranier to about 10,000 feet (I think -- it was really really high) and the two of us sitting there feeding our lunch to the critters and watching the world from on high. I still remember distinctly not wanting those moments to end.
Wow -- there have been so many wonderful dates with wonderful men -- what a trip thinking about so many of them.

Hmm great question
I think for me, it would be riding on the back of a motorcycle when I was about 21 maybe.. it was so awesome. The wind in my hair, the feel of the bike and ...of him. And with the same guy it was also joyriding one night, winding up at a park, in a secluded spot....
And then there was the guy that I was set up as a blind date for. We had three dates actually.. He did pretty well for the most part. We had ice cream one afternoon... and he treated me to dinner and a movie in downtown where we also wound up walking through Sundance Square. It was wonderful to see the downtown lights, people walking on the street and enjoying the night. Sad that there just wasn't chemistry there.
