Ok I've noticed on this site there are a lot of woman lacking confidence.
I know being a bbw can be hard, but refuse to play the victim. I've learned that long ago. I was lucky enough to go to a high school where i was never made fun of...as in never ever. I guess you could of called me one of the "popular" kids. I fit in because i stop playing the victim. I refused to take the jokes, being made fun of and having the look up and down and turn a way giggling s---. I never experience that among my high school, but i did out in public and by my family. One day i just told myself i'm not going to take it anymore. Anyone that made a comment i would confront and shut them down. I held my head high and walked like i was the hottest s--- in the world. And you know what, it worked for me.

All i'm asking is ladies wheres your confidence? [/b]

`I completely agree with you! A lot of women who are bigger don't think they're good enough, feel gross, are ashamed of being large. I can't stand it. We're so beautiful:] stand up ladies, hold your head high, you're gorgeous :]

`I agree with both of these posts, I tell you from experience. A curvy, bbw, or whatever term you want to use to define your body structure. Curvy women are sexier in a million different ways especially a confident and secure woman. SHe isn't afraid to tell a guy the way it will be, knows she's beautiful, will make fun of the skinny girls with me because the skinny girls are always so concerned about their looks they forget what is really important to a good guy, a good girl. These "skinny" girls always wanna know where the "nice" guys are, they are always with a big beautiful woman.

`Confidence is hard to come by when you're bombarded with images and snarky quips every waking hour of your life - be it by bullies in school or your family or by the media. The media is the biggest influence on the population these days - and fat one of the few remaining acceptable prejudices. And especially for women, as our bodies are treated as mere objects for entertainment purposes - gotta look (and receive) good for teh menz!!! So yeah, it's been programmed into our brains since we were tots that fat is gross and unhealthy and the butt of un-PC jokes - hard to be confident when you're marginalized and oppressed.

`When I lived back home in the US confidence was never an issue. About six/seven years ago I moved to Australia with my ex. THAT is when my confidence issues kicked in. People yelling at you on the streets, making rude comments WHEREVER you go, that is the s--- that broke me down. No one to ever stick up for me, or make me feel better as a person. Whenever I am home in the US, I feel like a completely different person. It is hard to explain. Also, some people find it easy to "blow people off." Where others do not. It is different types of personalities and the way we deal with pressure and critisizm. Everyone is different I suppose.

`bigger women are so much nicer than the thin ones, they tend to be a lot more genuine and far more truthful. so many larger women are made to think that they are ugly and no one wants them. how wrong this is. so what if you weigh a few pounds extra it doesn't matter. all I will say to you stop thinking of what other people are saying or one other person is saying or doing. ok you maybe over weight but it has nothing to do with them what you are like. be positive and think to yourself every time someone says a bad thing about you. they are a idiot and a fool and just stand there and laugh at them. the more they say the more you laugh, in the end they will get the hit. keep smiling
