Since the site has changed some.....

I have noticed now since the site changed some that people aren't checkin their mail....there are a couple of mails I have sent that are still unopened....lol
I dunno if the people just dont realize they have to actually go to the email part or they are thinking they will have a number pop up in a corner saying they have mail....like how it was before.
Don't get me wrong- the new changes are great....but I wonder a bit if the email change confused people some and now they dont know they have mail stitting there....lol

Good point about the email and smooch notification.

We are slowly working through a list of little problems that have cropped up as we have been transitioning the site from the old look/layout to the new one.

Aside from adding the 'numbered' notification of messages and smooches, we have to work on converting the forums over to the new look too.

It will probably be a full month before all the little things are resolved, but we are taking note of them as we run across them.

Also, we will be adding another server into the mix within the next month or two, and that should speed up the site substantially.

Thanks again for your comments. They help us focus in on the things that our members are running into, and that are causing problems.

PS. We don't have a clue how people could be missing the fact that they have email though, because when someone logs in, we drop them right on top of the email management area. :wink:

I too have noticed ppl not opening their emails. And I saw that they went online from the recent logins on the homepage. I sent like 10 out one day and out of the 10 the only one that has read their email was a guy I received an email from and starting chatting together through another forum, and he didn't know he had an email until I told him. Now, I know when I have them b/c I have a notification sent to my email address on yahoo telling me I have a new one, but I don't know if everyone has this set up. I know that not everyone will be interested in me, but 10 out of 10 is a bit unbelieveable to me....surely SOMEONE : would have been at least curious enough to email me back SOMETHING. Also, everytime I try to send a smooch it takes me to an unable to display image page...is it just me or does it not work either? :

The number of new emails and smooches now appears within the Account Management area, in both the upper navigation bar and within the Account Management menu.

We've also fixed a problem with the 'Send a Smooch' link on the profile pages.
