*I'm Paige; a culinary student & aspiring Baker living in Columbus, Ohio. Being a big girl & someone that both loves to eat & cook means that I have a lot of great recipes (some I made. some I stole) I am going to share them with all of you. PLEEEEEASE let me know what you think & please feel free to share these with others. Post your variations. All opinions welcome.*

Avocado Ice Cream
8 oz heavy cream
8 oz whole milk
4 egg yolks
3/4 cup sugar
3 Avacados diced small
1/2 tsp salt

Method: Tempering Eggs

1. Heat heavy cream & milk over med heat til warm. As soon as you see medium sized bubbles start to fizz around the rim of the pan turn the heat off. DO NOT LET BOIL!!!!

2. Wisk your egg yolks in a bowl with the sugar & salt.

3. In a different bowl pour about half a cup of the hot milk. No need to measure, youll waste time, dishes, & the heat of the milk.

4. Slowly whisk in your egg sugar mixture into the half cup of milk. Little by little so you dont cook the eggs.

5. Once all of the eggs are incorporated whisk the milk/egg/sugar mixture back into the milk in the sauce pan. Mix all together thoroughly.

6. Pour the mix into a shallow pan and let cool some. Once cool, add the avacado pieces. Cover tightly & cool overnight in the fridge.

7. Transfer to an ice cream machine the next day & churn until soft serve, then freeze until set. Serve. Should have hunks of avacado & be a light green color.

Yummmmmmm. Its soooo good, haha :)
