I have read this statement from 2 different men.
One was blogging and one was commenting to one of my blogs.
I am curious as to exactly what constitues "drama" for a man?

`Hmm... I don't like drama either. I guess, drama to me would be when I'm not trusted if I chat with another chick and she gets all pissy, even if it is a family member. Another thing is when friends come into the picture and she tells me she don't like my friends and expect me to just cut all ties with them. There's a lot I can say, but it'll probably sound like less drama and more or a soap opera.

`I've read a few ..well a lot....of guys say how they don't like drama or a girl wih baggage. Well I'm sorry..but NO one is drama free or baggage free. We all have a past and those do in fact color our views. Now I am not saying we have to let those things reflect fully on what is going on now but they do play a part. My entire life is drama. I am a 27 yr old college student, who works full time and I am taking on raising my 6 year old niece....nothing is easy but if IT is there...it is worth fighting for...drama and all. 89shifty...I don't think that is drama..I think that is trust. relationships live and die by trust.

`imo what alot of guys mean by not liking drama is they don't want any girl that is in a relationship with them to give their opinion on anything especially what he wants to do and when he wants to do it.I agree that everyone has some amount of drama that has happened in their lives because there is a season for everything meaning the good and the bad.We must know that given we are humans and therefore do possess our own opinions and our own unique personalities then we can't expect to get along all the time with everyone in our lives even if their there for a brief time or since we were born. You can't have a victory if you never have a challenge nor can we have a testimony without a test.God is good and his mercy endures forever.I also wanted to add that relationships do live and die by trust and also by mutual respect.gbu guys

`I think I sort of agree with you, Southernfinery, about some men wanting a woman who totally agrees with everything they want.
I was hoping for more male input to explain as it is THEIR comment, well not all, but many.
Shifty, what you are talking about, to me, sounds a lot like a wicked case of jealousy and maybe some trust issues going on.
I suppose that would also constitute a form of drama.
Sounds like life to me.

`I would like to put my input in, the problem is I know life is complicated and I don't know what separates complications from drama

`well cookinbubbles I understand that you were hoping for more men to put their thoughts but being there seems to be only a couple of guys willing to join the forums so far on a regular basis then I think it might be safe to say that by the time we get some new blood here I will have won the megalotto and started a revolution geared at the medical industry and the fda.So can I post anyway and we can say it is my male alter ego responding please?

Funny thing happened today, I told the guy I have been seeing for a few months that I was falling for him and he replied that THAT was too much drama for him and he was "done" with me. So I too would like to know what constitutes as drama. lol

`Good Heavens!
Apparently life is too much drama for some people. I am sorry that this had to happen to you but I think you may have escaped just in time.
If he thinks having a woman fall for him is drama, what the heck would he do when babies start arriving or when there is catastrophic illness or death in his family.
What a sissy he is.

`I agree with cookin bubbles. I guess this guy should take the time and look at his surroundings. Life is filled with complications and problems. Being able to resolve them and get past them is what makes a relationship stronger. I think what this guy is thinking is that by you falling for him, there will be a emotional connection. For him emotional connection = drama. Which is sad. Because if he decides to avoid this connection with a partner I don't think he will be able to find happiness.

Thanks ladies! I totally agree. At first I was quite stunned but now I'm kinda happy that I told him how I was feeling because if I hadn't and we had stayed in a relationship. the feelings I had for him would have grown and it could have been quite painful. I also agree that I would definitely would NOT want him in my life because crap happens and he def would not be able to handle it.

okay, i'm a male and i don't understand what people mean when they say "i don't want drama."

does that mean they don't want someone with emotional/mental issues? because that's impossible to find - everyone has something they deal with on a daily basis. that's life.

`A friend of mine once said that unless a person has been living under a rock, there is a past to deal with and issues to deal with in ANY relationship.
I am beginning to think that those who demand no drama are living life with their heads up their....never mind!
Thanks for the input Charliesmile. Nice to see a new face and hear a new voice in forums.
