UUUUUUH that's so cool!
So are you a real fan? If so, what team do you support? What's your fav player?

Oh yeah. I'm a new fan, so there a couple things I'm confused about, but I'm defiantly a real fan. I'm an Anaheim Ducks fan being in the southern california area. I'd have to say my favorite young player is Ryan Getzlaf, and my favorite vet player is Teemu Selanne. What about you?

Well, since I'm here in good ol' germany the team I support will be unknown to you...sadly*lol* but in case you are interested, it is the Cologne Sharks (Kölner Haie) site available on www.haie.de I think there's an english version(^_^), my fav player...I don't really have one in the german leauge right now, the one I admire most at the present would probably be Evgeni Malkin, gorgeous(^_____^)!
Even though our leauge is quite interesting as well... I do kind of follow the NHL(of course!) and I actually had a bet going for the Ducks, lucky me !
What do you mean by "new" fan?Only just got there? In case I can help you, what is it that confuses you?

Oh wow. I'm defiantly going to have to check them out. By new fan I mean I've only been a fan of it for about 2 years now. And the only thing I'm confused of is the rule of "icing." How far away from the blue line do you have to be, etc. Because there I times I think it's icing and its not. I've been told this a thousand times, but I still get so confused.

As far as I know, it's icing if the puck passes from the defensive zone, over the red-middle-line, the other blue line aaaaand the goal line, they just usually call it before it passes the goal line(the extension of the goal line I should say... ) if there's no player to take the puck before it crosses it. They made a stupid attempt to only have icing called when the goalie doesn't move towards the puck, which is total nonsense*lol*!
Oh well, 2 years aren't that bad...I only got there 5 or so years ago...so not that much of a difference...
By the way I checked out your fav's, they're cool*lol* it's not easy to judge players in the nhl if you only see those clips on youtube . Too bad there's no tv station on which to watch nhl games...that way we only get to hear of the big stars...
