This is a two part question:
1. Do you believe in attraction at first sight?
2. Do you believe you can be attracted to someone you have never seen, based on their online personality and communication skills?

Answer to question number one is yes you can be attracted at first site. Visual attraction is very quick and can often burn out as quickly.
Answer to question number two is no and yes. I think emotionally we are attracted to the person that we think we have gotten to know through words and maybe phone conversations but to be physically attracted by photos and such I dont think so.

o1. Yes, there is definitely a such thing as attraction at first sight. In fact, many of us tend to find pleasure in that initial first attraction.
o2. Yess! I can attest to this because of personal experience. :] This guy was amazing. Sadly, I had to let go, because...I don't know, it seemed rather odd of me to try & hold onto someone who lived so far away. :"/ I still like him loads, though.
