I'm almost 21, and I've never had a real boyfriend. I've talked to guys and messed around, but I've never had a guy treat me the way I want to be treated. I've always been popular in a good way and I feel like I'm funny and have a good personality. But it never fails, I'm always just the friend. All of my girl friends are skinny and gorgeous and always have a guy. I'm fat and gorgeous (conceited much?) and never have a guy. Maybe I've put up barriers. Maybe guys don't see me as the dating type. Or maybe I'm just not trying hard enough. I don't know what it is. I don't want anything super serious, just someone to call my own and to be there for me. Am I doing it wrong?

`Take it from me you have loads of time because you don't want to find Mr. Wrong cause you will be paying for it for a long time... I know its hard your 21 and all your friends seem happy and in relationships but the right person will come along for you just keep your head and standards at a even level and it will happen... please wait for Mr. Right and not Mr. right now just my 5 cents worth... chin up and stay positive!

`When I was your age, many many many eons ago..(Ok its only been 10 years, but anyways) I used to notice that "Oh, I was what girls where looking for, so charmin, such a gentlemen, so caring"... (Please insert "but" here) but, I'm not who they wanted. I've heard this so many time... "Oh I wish I could meet a man just like you" *tap on the back*... Uh!! Well what about me.... * Jeopardy theme *... Exactly....

My advise here, you are still young, have fun and you are gorgeous... and the man that doesn't see that, its not worth your while.

Any advise just let me know,

The Doctor.

Omg Ive had the same experience how i hated when one of my guy friend would say "i wish all girls would be like you..you are so perfect" and blah blah blah....instead of a complement i felt it like an insult cause that just meant b/c of my weight i was not worthy enough.....guess what happened?? not my friend anymore lol.... i have lots of guys come up to me but all they want is s--...and i not wasting my time on that...so instead of bringing my self down...i've learn to just wait i'll come up some time soon or so i hope so hahaha... but i do hate when people dont believe me i've never had a Boyfriend... and really that has nothing to do with your weight cause i have a bff who is skinny and gorgeous and she has never had a boyfriend..most of it is b/c she is not looking on to mess around and just grab the first guy that stops buy but rather Mr. right guy

`What you are describing is just a guy phenomenon. Most of us do just want easy S-- (especially when we're young). But that is most, not all. I do agree though, with their quotes being insulting. When I was in high school I had something similar going on. I was a pretty good football player, in shape blah blah blah. And I was always told that I was a good looking guy, but I never had the confidence to talk to the girls, so I was usually single. Over the years (since then at least) I have dated skinny girls, bbws, and everything in between. I came to prefer bigger women. But just because I do I would not throw an insult like that to a skinny girl. Anyhow...moving on...you obviously want to find Mr. Right. Just keep searching. Contrary to popular belief, not all guys are jerks:P I'm sure you'll find him. Btw, yes you are gorgeous!

`I have the same problem. But like everyone says it takes time. My issue has been with education. Because I am going for a advanced degree most guys are not interested in me. But I still have standards and will not settle for less.
