Hi everyone,
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I thought it was a good place to start to connect with the community. (I guess I understand if it gets flagged or deleted
I am making a show for MTV's True Life about chubby chasers and wanted to get insight and ideas from the community. I'm also looking talk to people who may be interested in sharing their passion and love for the plus size on TV.
If you google MTV Chubby Chasers you can find my email that way. (I see it's against the rules to post email addresses) or you can message me here - I'm tlchubby.
Tell me what you think should be on the show, cool ideas, interesting stories, or if you know anyone who wants to show their passion to the world, I'm super open to hearing from you.
Hope all is well. Thanks for stopping by!
Mike

`hi southern finery,
i totally get your questions. and no definitely it is not meant to poke fun. we're looking to change the non-stop oppressive singleminded image of beauty in the media and celebrate love and passion for larger body types. the term chubby chaser came from various sites and online communities that celebrate the term with endearment. an example of a story is a young guy from california who has a very healthily large wife and who wants the world to know that he is not settling but rather incredibly passionate about and in love with his partner not just because of her warm heart and personality but because her look is his ideal. i think this is a message that is uplifting and positive and should have more of a presence in the mainstream.
i guess i was just trying reach out and hear stories and meet people who have something to say. so i really appreciate hearing from you.
thanks
mike

Good luck with your idea. If I may make a suggestion, I feel you may have better luck having men chase chubby women. I was pretty damn chubby at one time and quote "NO WOMEN AT ALL CHASED ME". If anything they would run like hell if I persued them. This is what I've encountered and I'm not speaking for anyone else when I say this. In my lifetime especially when I was bigger I asked many chubby guys that were with decent looking women "how did you land her?". #1 Money. #2 I didn't look like this when we first dated and now she's stuck because of marriage or kids. #3 (this I heard only 2 times in my life) she has a fat fetish. |

`I disagree. There are lots of women who like big men. They make you feel safe and protected,as well as making great pillows!

I guess I was piss poor at holding my body fat them and most men "I" know as well. You can disagree all you want, but you were not in my position and you didn't go through the things I did. If you had seen me before I guarantee you would not have argued my point at all. Maybe women do go for a bigger man, but not all of us guy hold it well on our bodies and(in my case) our faces either.

`I am sorry you had such a hard time. People can be so shallow and when they hurt someone, not only do they not realize they did it but they also don't realize that the hurt can last for ever.
In a perfect world, people should be attracted to what is in our hearts and minds, not what is on(or not on) our butts, b--bs and bellies.
sigh.
Please do not give up.

I never gave up, what I did instead was realize the way I was looking and situation I was in I did not like in the least and I realized I couldn't change others. So I decided to change myself since God gave me the free will to do that. That's the thing, if you don't like things then never try to change others because that will not work because it's human nature to be visual, instead if you can make changes for yourself. A life long change is for you and you only. If you don't like yourself then no one will like you and the problem with people in my situation is there is no way in hell you could of ever like looking at what I was.
HAGD.
