| Why is it that I see twice as many female pictures as male pictures on not just this bbw dating site, but every friggin dating site I've ever been to?! Dating is like selling yourself--nobody is gonna buy something without a label. I mean come on, would you take home mystery meat? PUT UP A PICTURE! ARRGGHH!!!! |

| The same could be said for women too. When I did have a lot of women reply to me at one time almost half of them did not have pictures posted. Then again another point, not everyone has the money to a buy digital camara, scanner or webcam so they can post a picture. The last point I want to make, if someone does not post a picture(especially from my experiences) good odds they might be a scammer or s----l preditor. |

| I have chosen not to include a profile pic because of a bad experience in the past. My pic on the Y , was taken and used by a very unscrupulous individual, fortunately, it was seen by a friend of mine, and the situation was resolved. I gladly email pics to people that I have met online, since I have nothing to hide. Also agree with a previous posting, it's not just the guys! |

While I agree that having a PIC on your profile makes the reader a little more comfortable...there's really no guarantee thet the PIC is no guanatee tht it's really them...
Al the more reason to ALWAYS put caution first. |

| Man I agree on the cautiousness... but also I love a pic there so I can fantisize about them... it's so hard to make that move to contact someone that you can't see... what they look like would make it so much easier... |

Found you..!!! and I AGREE.....I have a 'pic' up and it is ME however I get
so sick and tired of being asked "do you have any naked pics" NO I dont..........or Men under 30 yrs ...sorry you can see my age so not interested in 'toy boys'..........this is my first time here and SOOO keeping fingers crossed that that maybe just maybe , here there will be some who have A/ Sincerety.....B/ Decency.......C/ Respect
And last but by no means least.I am not looking for anyones money so I do not expect to have anyone looking for mine... |

Adding a photo is one of the best things someone can do to help get more attention on the site.
Our system is built to give people with photos more visibility. People who add photos show up first in ALL search results and browse results, no matter what type of search is done.
So people without photos are at a disadvantage in a couple of ways. Many people don't look at profiles without photos, ever...and we push profiles without photos to the back of the pack.
Separately, and we cannot stress this enough. PEOPLE LIE ON THE INTERNET. Be careful!
While everyone wants to be hopeful and trusting, we want to encourage all of our members to take the utmost caution when developing any relationship via the internet.
Please read the ONLINE DATING SAFETY section linked on the left side of every page within the site (except the forums area).
And never, ever, under any circumstances, allow someone you have met online to convince you to send them money, for any reason.
Everyone thinks it could never happen to them...until it does. |

I would like to add something... when posting your picture do please look hard at your profile and make sure you have not pressed the wrong number for your age... I sat last night and looked at profiles of Men and Women ( and NO I am not gay) but was appalled at the pictures with the age stated being so far out of whack it was not funny.....Now come on people adding or subtracting maybe 3-5 years might be ok for some..BUT !!! it will come out somewhere along the line so BE HONEST... why say you are 26-28 when your picture tells that you will not see 40-45 again...???......BE PROUD of your years they should have given you insight....and experience....and to lie about your age only leaves the question WHAT ELSE did they lie about...please remember Honesty ALWAYS PAYS off in the long run... |

O.K. I was going to write a new post of this subject but changed my mind. This is for two reasons.
1. I agree that I wish more men would post their pictures just because it would make us feel a little better that we can look at you and decide whether or not you have honest eyes. By NO means does a picture show that you are trustworthy and honest, or that you are not a perv. So, it’s nice to see a picture and maybe find someone attractive (and people also lie so watch out for that). I just figure if I am putting myself out there and willing to take a chance and see if someone might find me attractive then so should the guys.
2. I just wanted to ask…Has anyone else found the gentleman in the FEEDBACK picture attractive. Just wondering and thought I might flirt a little!! LOL.

Give the folks without pictures a chance! The wonderful man I've been dating for the last 10 months was someone without a picture that I met through another site. I think in some cases getting to know someone who doesn't have a picture might allow you to give someone a chance that you might not otherwise. Is that really such a bad thing?
