I think it just needs to be advertised a lot more. I used DH and POF since the beginning of the year, and just found this one. It is a lot smaller but I have been trying to promote it. Even posting it in the forums on other sites! One problem I ran into was when I googled "free BBW dating" I got tons of hits on so called "free" sites that keep leading you back to the same few pricey pay sites with free sign-up. Very frustrating. The best thing is to do whatever you can to get the word out. Tell your friends or relatives. Even mention it on your facebook page if you have one. And just to let you know I am a 52 yo man and an avid computer junkie! So not all of us are young here. And I am looking for a real girlfriend too, not just chat partners.

What is DH?

Sad to hear that people are not getting a lot of results on this site and others in the Passions network. I just found and joined this site, as well as a few others in the network. I've been doing the internet dating thing off and on for nearly 12 years now, and have been ready to give up since 2007. As it happened, a friend of mine talked me into trying Geek2Geek in 2007, on which I met a guy and had a 2-year long distance relationship with him. We broke up at the end of 2009, largely due to the distance. I've tried a few different dating sites since then (OKCupid, Match.com, and a couple other dating sites for fat people), but have had very little success with them. I was hoping I might have better luck with this site, but it sounds like I'll have much the same experience as I have on others. Which is no response to any messages I send. ...Ah, well. At least it's free. :roll:

DH is dateh--k-p.com and POF is plentyoffish.com those are by far the biggest and best free general dating sites. They work good and I use them too, just not tailored to BBW/BHM like this one. The problem with pay sites is they have far fewer paying members, greatly reducing the chance of finding anyone close by. Also you tend to get bombarded with spam mail from scammers on paysites. Not so on these 3 free sites. I'd rather get little or no mail than have to sift thru tons of spam trying to find any legit message! The problem I notice is a lot of people create a profile, then never bother to check their email so they never read what you send before it expires. But the free sites do keep growing. Even here I see the member count from the first of the month really going up.

I've only been on here a few days, but I'm in agreement. I've been contacted by one person, and no, I haven't felt compelled to contact anyone myself (those close to me are very limited). Although this appears to be a nice site, I do keep seeing the same posters (not too many other people participating), so it is very quiet here. I'm going to snuggle up with a cup of tea and a blankee and see if anyone wakes up.

`I've been on POF since 2008 off and on - and DH since last year. Neither of them "friendly" as far as large size people go, and DH is really just trashy. I want to take a bath after I visit its forums. It's weird (for me), when I got divorced last year, I never dreamed that dating, meeting people or talking would be so difficult. True, this is a nice place to visit, but it would be nice if there were more men willing to date. I think my age also sets me back a bit too.

I'm on POF and DH myself. The searches work really well, but my problem is few my age will even talk to a never married man. Most think I'm an outcast or something. And I'm more interested in just finding a girlfriend right now, not a wife. The most active forums are on singlesnet, but there is a lot of "BBW bashing" in there too. I keep promoting myself and the free sites there. They did have busy chatrooms there - one for each state. Until they blocked access to free users. I met a compatible woman on there last June. We hit it off online (met her once in person) but she was the one with too much hurt in her past to get close again. Now the rooms there are dead as only paid members can get in. It would be nice to find another chat site with a lot of users - preferably for each state. At least people will talk to me in the chatrooms. :)

`thats too bad. I know that the powers that be seem to be like stink on poop for removing spam or scam artists but now and then they get a little over zealous. I was in the middle of a series of e-mails from a fella a while back and both my and his profile got deleted and the reinstated and when I asked why it happened, the powers that be swore it didn't happen but I had the e-mail telling me my profile was being removed....
On the whole, the site is good and I have been here on and off for nearly 2 years. I get busy with life and don't come on forum for a while and then I get bored and am back.
As to finding a mate.....LOL thats not gonna happen on here, ever.
Nonone in my area is EVER on here. Anyone I have ever been contacted by drifts off after a few e-mails or is one who wants to do cyber S-- and I just can't get my head around that....LOL
OR they are so young, I am embarrassed even answering. The latest is a 24 year old. i don't know what the heck that is about but 95% of men who contact me are at least 25 years or more younger than I am..... It baffles me to no end.

`Sorry to hear that Loneangel and cookinbubbles but I have seen the results of "feedback', so I'd be careful of just what is said or they may think your implying that they do it on purpose. I have seen accidents happen while cleaning up web pages. Cookinbubbles you should have gotten an apologetic letter instead of a denial. but that's not for me to say.. So I'll man up for the group and say "I'm Sorry that it happened to you".
