`There are sometimes lots of folks on here but mostly in the winter time when there is nothing else to do.
I have been a member for about 2 years and sometimes I don't hear from anyone and worse yet, when I look at profiles, its the same old ones, guys who never anser when I contact them or the wierdos that I contacted and wished I hadn't..LOL
I have found that hanging in the forums can be fun but again, since summer hit, its been pretty slow here.
I am an older woman and no one my age EVER is on here, except me.. Certainly no men.
Good luck and hang in there an keep trying.

`hey cookinbubbles I hope you haven't been ill and that is why you haven't been on the forums in awhile.It's good to see you back.Have you tried paltalk?I go on there for the music and trivia rooms but there are so many more.On this site it seems a bit --------(slow) to the point of passing out from a lack of oxygen.The ones that do say hi seem to have a hidden agenda of some sort which is not worth pursuing imo.I've noticed on the trucker site that most of them are looking for one-night stands because they are all married or so it seems lol.Then you have the cry babies who want to tell you all about the last woman they spoke to on here that wouldn't talk like they wanted them to lol or do what they wanted them to do lol.Then and this is the icing on the perferable nutcake,you get the superfreaks who want to see your feet or just your toes(but they must be painted).Lord have mercy if you find one that isn't attached or isn't a shake away from the loony bin grab him girl cause he's a keeper.rofl just have fun.GBU

Hi, Yea, things have slowed down. Personally I am busy with school. I do come here I am just too tired to post alot of the time.

What a shame.. I hate being single again this stuff is really hard.. It would be nice to at least have someone to do things with.. Oh well Im thinking I should just give up and work on my weightloss and make my kids happy.. Cuz I dont think im gonna get anywhere.. and Southern.. nice post I agree with everything you had to say..

`You klnow with all yiou lovely ladies on here this site should be buzzing with activity. I just can not understand those other guy or gents on here. Most of the time I'm shying away from forms and chats, and web cams, but on here there is no one to compete with so I am brave and go online chats and web cams ... it's strange but fun at the same time. it's just I seem to have bad timing for when they others are here... oh well I got to learn to get out of my shell...

`hey Southern Finery, I am alive and kickin'. Just busy, I guess, like everyone else.
Being from the midwest, I always feel like I have to run like crazy to get summer stuff done because before long its snow up to my ears again or colder than a well diggers butt or both...
I suspect that is the case with many folks on here. I have chatted with a few men from Canada and you can bet your boots its the same for them. Enjoying the outdoors while they can do it without wearing everything they own at one time.
For all you new folks, keep plugging away.
I have noticed that if YOU start a new thread, you will get responses. Sometimes only a few, sometimes you can kick off a real can of worms with argumentative types but as long as you keep in mind that everyone is entitled to an opinion, even @ssh*les(whoops did I say that out loud???) all goes well.
I have come to consider many who are regulars on the forum friends and I hope they consider me in the same way.
I have also noticed that there are very few men my age to be had in my home state so I guess I will have to be satisfied with chatting with nice guys long distance.
So it goes.....

`Well, this has always been a slower site. I've noticed that with most of the passions networks that I'm on, though. Could just be that it's not as popular as say PoF. *shrugs*
Online dating is always hit or miss, too. Sometimes you can get a lot of messages, or none for months. It happens.
Personally, I love this particular site because the people here are very kind and friendly. Even if you don't find dates, I would suggest sticking around for the company.

`I know the feeling about wasting your time here, but I haven't given up. I have sent emails to ladies in my age range, without anything being returned.
I certainly understand if a woman I email doesn't choose to reply.
I wonder if a lot of us have forgotten how to communicate one to one w/o falling all over ourselves? Because of this technology, people can be whomever they wish, and too bad for the person who responds.
I'd like to meet someone that just wants to talk about things. I'm not going to jump into S-- or marriage, and I don't know how to find those people. It would be nice to find someone with whom to share my life. But friendship is the most important component to a serious relationship--along with honesty and sincerity.

I opened up a real can of worms a while back when a poster on here talked about being physically attracted to someone and I disagreed with his statement.
I do not judge others by appearances and prefer friendships first as well but everyone whom I have been contacted by so far in the last 2 years either wants to do phone S-- or IM S-- and I can't seem to get the conversation past what my b--bs or butt look like. LOL
