I am a fan of all sorts of music but I was wondering what others out there liked? What are the bands that you don't think you could live without?

`Whenever someone asks me my favourite bands.. I always draw a blank. Weird considering I am obsessed with music, and also with making long, pointless lists. I suppose I have different favourites per genre. A few favourites:

Silversun pickups, Sparklehorse, Explosions in the Sky, Jesu, Godflesh, Khanate, Sigur Ros, Swallow the Sun, Alice in Chains, Stateless, Logh, Japanische Kampfhorspiele, Band of Horses, Blueneck, Cursive...

List goes on. And on. And on...

`I have very eclectic tastes in that I can be happy with Il Divo or Elvis or a little Rob Zombie, depending on my mood. Kiss can rock my world now and then, or I can handle a little Roy Orbison. I do enjoy the Latin rythmns of Shakira, Enrique Inglesias or even Herb Alpert.
I have a special place in my heart for Bon Jovi though.
The first concert I ever went to was for my 50th birthday and was a treat from my eldest daughter, a confirmed Bon Jovi nut case.
We had a blast. I had no idea how exciting going to a concert could be. I guess I have lead a sheltered life.

`Gotta love Apocalyptica. I like Combichrist, KMFDM, Rammstein. Actually, they came through here not too long ago WITH Combichrist as the opening act. I had to work. Been kicking myself ever since.

Really been digging into the Industrial side of things lately. That is definitely my kinda music.
