Ok so I know valentine's day is less than a month away, but I was wondering what have yall done on, or had happen on this day? Good, bad, whatever you could think of.
I have never had to do anything for this day, I never really had a relationship last to a valentine's day

and btw Mizcurious3 if you read this, I do have an idea in my mind and it is already planned out for this year. I just had it on my mind and wondered what others did on it.

`Im anti Valentines day. Its just one of the Hallmark holidays to me, if someone loves someone they shouldnt have to express it in expensive roses or jewelry. We dont need a specific day of the year to show someone how much we love them.

`late hubby and I sometimes did stuff, sometimes not, it depended on how much money was available. We had kids, not money. LOL
I think you can't go wrong with dinner at a fancy place and some red roses.
If the dinner and the fancy place is a little extravagant, dessert at the fancy place is cheaper and just as fancy.
I understand your weather is pretty decent at the moment(at least where one of my e-pals is from) so a picnic at a pretty secluded spot with a nice wine, some fancy cheeses, chocolates and roses would be pretty romantic too.

` Thanks, Cookinbubbles and Lastcaress210. I know it does seem like a hallmark holidays, I still like the idea of doing something special for someone (though it would be for more than just one day out of the year) I guess I should've also mentioned that I was born on valentine's day. I never really thought of it more than just a birthday, but Mizcurious3 wants to do something for me, and I came up with something for her.

And well, I dunno about pretty decent, here in Lubbock it was 28 low and 60s high. Plus I live right in the city, so it is tricky to find a secluded place, I know of a few parks however

`I agree with lastcaress210 to a certain point. Because if we really thought about it most holidays would be hallmark holidays. We celebrate being alive everyday, at least we should and yet on our bday we have a party or presents. So I say no hallmark cards, make your own! Lol. and as for valentine's day events... I don't care much for the flowers and chocolate. Yes, they are nice. But personaly for me, I like thinking outside the box. I love romance, a pinic, cooking for someone, even something as simple as a homemade card expressing in your own words your feelings.

This year is a little tricky since andrew's birthday is the same day as valentine's (although just bc I do something for you, it should make you feel like you have to also, andriek). His birthday present was easy but valentine's day wise it was tricky. Lol.

`till this year, I was in the same boat. I never was in a relationship with someone on valentine's day. But it was my birthday so I would hang out with friends.

`Same here. I guess this will be my first offical valentine's day with someone very special. I am very much looking forward to spending some quality time with :you: And to be honest our first date felt like valentine's day, considering it was very special, romantic, and just filled with hand holding, lip locking, deep stares, knowing looks, and tons of laughter.
