| I'm new also,,,and would like to chat with some people online here, but there is never anyone in there. Is there a time that everyone gets on or is there just not enough people online? I WANT TO CHAT !!! |

The current chat system is working, and if you don't have pop-up blockers in place, it's possible you are having trouble due to java.
Your browser would need to be 'java enabled' in order for the chat room to work.
Also, while you might not think you have pop-up blockers in place, there are many that are bundled into other products...like Microsoft Explorer, Google Toolbar, Yahoo Toolbar, and more.
It may not matter though, because we've been working on a new chat/Instant Message system that we hope to release this week.
It's based on a different technical approach, so hopefully the problems you're having now will not be an issue with the new system.
It will be a 'BETA' version, which means that we think it will work OK, but we expect to find various bugs and glitches as people begin to use it.
Hopefully, we'll be able to iron out all the issues over the next week or so after it is released.
While the existing chat system is a good one, we aren't happy with the lack of activity...and we think the new version will help to encourage more chat for a number of reasons.
People will no longer have to login twice (once to the site, and then again for the chat system). In fact, we're thinking of automatically putting people into the chatroom right when they login to the site.
Hopefully this will encourage messaging and chat among the people online.
Of course, once people begin to use it, and we get some feedback, then we'll be able to decide what kind of changes will need to be made.
