the chat room

So, has anyone ever actually met someone in the chat room on this site? I go in every time I log into the site and have NEVER seen anyone in there. There is sometimes members who have just left but I have never met up with anyone there. Any reason why no one seems to want to chat?
Sort of wonder the same about the forum area as well. There is generally a very long time between posts on the forum.

`Wow, at least I got a reply on the forum although I must admit, I have in the past, recieved a reply from southern finery as well.
Both chat and these forums would be great places to get to know different folks on here, just as friends or commrads in arms so to speak. after all, no matter what the age, size, shape or sex, we are all looking for that special person and you would think we ALL would have lots to talk about and share. Are most of us who are looking THAT lonely that we won't even push ourselves out there to chat??

I will agree. And really it is better to talk to people to get to know them, and is better than reading a profile. Just because (I am in this catorgory too) some people don't know what to write about ourselves or how to describe themselves.

... well and when I just look to talk I tend to go to forums just to see whats up.

`me too. you can tell alot about people by reading past forum questions and answers. some folks are short and to the point, some ramble on(me sometimes!) and some sound so interesting while others seem very ordinary.
Oh well, I just keep checking there. someday I will actually catch a live person. At this point, I don't care if it is male, female, old, young, I just want to chat with someone from this site!

I just came from there and 99.9% of the time someone has just left it and if I scroll up to see who or how many folks have been there, most of them came and went without staying more than 30 seconds or so as after all, if you are alone there why hang around.
I am so excited I got some responses here that I probably won't leave!

`I actually went earlier. I think 2 others were there, no one said a word. I typed, but no reply. Guess the best way to chat to anyone on this site would be here through the forums ( and through mail of course ).

If so, maybe we need to let the powers that be know that it is not working very well. I just assumed I did something wrong or that the other person was leaving as I was arriving and never saw the message. mmm. Got me thinking now. could be dangerous!

Welcome 89 shifty and so far, for me, this forum business is exactly where I have been talking to people. since I am a chatterbox, I am getting to love it.

`well, I finally did meet up with 2 very nice young people in the chat room last night and it sucked. you were right about the lag. Terrible. I haven't had to type that slow since typing class back in 8th grade a million years ago. Guess now I know why people do not frequent it . too bad.
The administrators of this site need to get on those irritating problems if they want a fun and iteresting dating site.

`I'm in and out of the chatroom but not much chatting really goes on. People are mostly in and out. There was one night when a bunch of us were in the room and discussed a few things. Wish more people would use the chatroom
