So here's mine. I see my friends seemingly figuring out what they want out of life as they get older.. me, not so much. I find myself asking the question "what do you want out of life?" more and more everyday. I think being stuck in the boondocks has pushed me to the brink of total isolation and have finally realized it scares the bejeezus outta me. Don't get me wrong, small town living has it's advantages.. from where I sit I can get whereever I need to get in less than 5 minutes. But there's no delivery restaurants (again though, all within 5 mins or less), no movie theatre, no concert venue.. basically nothing to do but fish, farm or hunt. and as far as relationship material.. well this is one place where it's definately safe to say all the goods ones are taken... even if they aren't as taken as their wives seem to think they are. So eventually, there will be a move for this small town chick.. nothing like New York City or Chicago or LA... although lottery gods willing I'll be on my way to New Orleans in a heartbeat.. buying a club on Bourbon Street and loading up for the party! But until that time, at least a place with a movie theatre and direct access to the interstate.
So what have we learned about me today... I don't know exactly what I want out of my current life (although my dreams are definately planned out..lol) and I'm scared of becoming totally isolated. I'm not fond of snakes either..
But I do have a nice dry sense of humor, love movies and music. The rest, well I'm 40 years old, a strong believer that phat chicks need love too, I have a sound moral compass in that I'm not interested if you're married or separated.I have very strong family values... and I do come with baggage. None of my own as I made sure the airport in my mind lost it on my last move, but I do have my 20 year old son living at home because he needs my help raising his son right now. The baby mama drama is at bay at present, but she is like a bad penny sometimes. I'm easy going, laid back, can and do listen to almost any kind of music that tickles my fancy for the day.
As for what I'm looking for.. again, who knows. I know I'll know it when i see it, but can't find the words to describe it. friends.. more.. only time will tell. I'm just keeping my mind open to the possibilities of life. I know it's gotta start sometime... right :
