`everyone around me thinks I have strange taste in music just because many of mine aren't sung in english. It isn't that I a lingust that know all of these languages. Music is music, plus the sounds of a langauge makes some songs better. What I am getting at is that I am into foreign music (which one thing that ticks me off is where I am they have under the foreign section stuff from mexico. I know why but I mean come on there are more countries out there)

I like Viikate because they have a nice laid back deep sound to them and their music

Korpiklaani just because they are the heaviest folk metal group I have heard thus far.

Schelmish because of their use of bagpipes.

and Die Apokalyptischen Reiter because they incorpate different instruments (one song even had a didgeridoo in it)

`Love BonJovi since my girls started listening to them back in the 80's, even though I am an old lady! LOL
Alos love the soaring vocals of andrea Boccelli and Il Dive when I am in the right mood.
And as for music not in my own language, I like Spanish music. I worked with a Mexican guy for about 3 years and he introduced me to all sorts of South American artists whom I haven't a clue who they are but great beat and great vocals as well, both modern and the older more romantic sounds.

` I appear to be resurrecting an older thread here, but Sarah Brightman has to be my all-time favorite--most beautiful voice I ever heard. I can almost reach some sort of spiritual rapture when she hits those high soprano octaves! The Celtic Women are angelic too, and I like Chloe, the heavy one, the most, naturally. Enya and Tori Amos are also nice.

Im really into alternative rock, metal, pop, electronic, (not to my Hispanic side) Bachata, merengue, some old songs that i dont even know whats the gender maybe romantic classical's? just a little bit of salsa, and one or too funny cumbias. But i also love!!! Indian music as in the actual country of India as well as Opera and Instrumentals. So yeah.... i love music!!!! i just hate rap!! and those ranchera or banda arghhh gets me on my nerves!!!!
