I'm not a high maintenance woman, but I like to look nice. I joke around a lot, but definitely can be serious when the mood calls for it. I'm very school oriented, because I'm trying to get somewhere with my life. I don't want to be another negative black-woman statistic. No perm, all natural. I'm really into neo-soul, underground hip-hop, alternative rock. I like live jazz cafes and r&B. AUTHENTIC rhythm and blues. Favorite song OF ALL TIME: Honeysuckle Rose. If it has a tight beat, then I'll probably like it. Anything from Junior Senior to Eric B & Rakim to Staind is in my mp3 player. Two currently favorite artists: Revis and Dwele. I lurve the curves, but I like to keep it healthy. I jog 4 - 5 miles most days. I'm an empathetic woman. I know I bend over back when it comes to people I care about. I love treating people and catering is my forte, but I don't want to be taken advantage of. I'm a dreamer and a realist. Like every sane person, I have insecurities and those little vulnerable spots, but hey, nobody’s perfect!
To answer the 10 million dollar question of "What am I looking for in a man?"
I need someone to be real with me. Call me on something if I'm wrong. If I'm overstepping a boundary, let me know! I want a friend first and a lover second. I need that foundation to know that everything will be OK! I give space in a relationship. I'm a commitment-oriented girl. I prefer someone who doesn't mind cuddling and won't go overboard on the PDA. I'm flirtatious though, lol! I have a thing for smiles and laughter. If I ever needed to call myself on something, I would say my two biggest flaws are 1) being overly self critical and 2) not being able to accept gifts or compliments well. If anything, more than any other aspect of a man, I'm looking for a man who's non-judgmental, patient with my flaws, and is empathetic enough to TRY and see where I'm coming from.
