Having invested in two very long-term relationships during my life, the singles/dating scene is very foreign to me. I am a bit shy really with new people; but, I usually warm up to someone I feel I can trust quiet easily. Today, life is so different from when I was a child; a time when neighborhoods were like extended families.
Being a career nurse, money has never been the objective of any of my actions. I worked hard, collected a respectable paycheck and paid the bills. I am now medically disabled; and, I miss being a member of the Health Care Profession. I never had money leftover for investing early on or later during my career. I have eight grown children as well as a ten-year-old daughter with special needs.
I am looking for a person who will be first and foremost a friend; and, a friend is a very special gift in life so please don't take this term lightly. My friends are trustworthy, self-giving, nurturing, thoughtful and respect all those who are invested in their life. My friends are the first to say I am sorry if their actions have hurt another person's heart in any way. My friends also will help anyone before they even ask; and, my friends also listen with much more than their ears. So, as you can see, my friends are very special individuals who are invested and for this I love them dearly. I have very few acquaintances or casual relationships.
I enjoy movies, good food and music. I do like to dance as well, especially slow dances with someone who is special to me. I love to get together just to share laughs; and, I especially enjoy children. I am partial to horses having competed on the local circuit for several years. Dogs have a special place in my heart; and, I have warmed up to cats; but, I doubt they will ever take first place with me. I enjoy working on Sudoku puzzles, reading Patricia Cornwell books and working on leather to renew its usefulness. I know that is quite a variety; but, variety in life can be quite good; do you agree?
