I am NOT Mel Gibson....most of the time.... I'm looking for a unique and unusual woman, 30ish to 40ish, who doesn't let pop culture or whatever's hip at the moment define her. .

I can be outrageous and off-the-wall. The society we live in is really stale and banal to me, so I often have to spice things up. I'm not dangerous or reckless. I dislike violence and testosterone-dripping displays of "manliness." So if you're looking for a rocker, biker, bad boy, or typical guy of any kind, I'm likely to disappoint you. I'd much rather hob-knob with gay men at a wine bar than be sprayed with beer and saliva by belching, farting, high-fiving guy-guys at a sports bar.

I'm actually fairly responsible. I have good credit and belong to a credit union instead of a commercial bank. I have a very good, well-paying full time job, a car, and a nice place where I live by myself. I'd prefer you not be a tobacco-user nor someone who believes in myths.

You should expect the unexpected with me. I have a mild fear of death, a primal fear of snakes, and I'm not always comfortable with heights. Otherwise, I fear nothing, especially what people think of me. My sense of humour is saucy and colourful, and has been known to give people pause. But my jokes are for my own benefit first. If anyone else thinks it's funny, that's just a bonus. I can be sarcastic, but mainly I'm into irony. Co-workers asked me the other day why I always show up so early for work. I told them that I joined the Taliban. I say most of my jokes straight-faced, including that one. I got a good belly laugh from the dropped jaws and confused looks. Life is too short, and the world around us too ridiculous to be taken seriously all the time.
So I want a woman who can relax enough to have some good clean, and occasionally not-so-clean fun with me. And if you're willing to work toward meaningful and long-term, so am I. I'm good with kids.
