Hoping to Find Someone Real... Let’s face it, this is catalog shopping at its most ludicrous and bizarre. But it is completely about selling yourself like a pumpkin colored cardigan at LL Bean. Well, I’m not 100% wool or cotton, but I am sarcastic and silly and serious. All of my best friends’ husbands adore me because I can talk to them about action movies and cartoon characters and The Last Dragon. I’m not high maintenance, I’m not into football, and I’m not a big fan of chicken. I love dogs with all my heart, I’m a huge dork sometimes, I feel like new music is one of the best gifts you can ever receive from someone.

I want to meet a real someone. Someone who will love Anchorman and Rocky 4, but also not care that I am full on crying watching one of my favorite TV shows. He’s smart, but not pretentious. He’s silly, but knows when to be an adult. He doesn’t care that I have male friends. He can chat with me about pop-culture and play Celebrity with my friends. He sings in the car. He likes to read. And he sees me when he looks at me.

I’m over-weight and have always been that way. It does not make me hide away from life or people. I tend to shine and snark and make people laugh. I smile all the time. I know how to use my iphone.
