Looking for Mr. Right, not Mr. Freaky! Smart & funny, what you see is what you get. I even put a recent photo up on my profile (taken February 2009). No pretensions or mind games here. I am honest to the bone and if I have an opinion, I'll let it be known (hey, that almost rhymes!). I don't have a lot of drama in my life, and I like it that way. I am not a shrinking violet, but that doesn't mean I have to be boss all the time - I'm just open & honest and who I am. I am comfortable in my own skin and can feel at home almost anywhere, and like to be around people who are the same. I'm tolerant, and expect others to be tolerant. I'll treat you with respect, but I'll expect the same from you. I love to laugh, so of course I love funny movies. I consider myself an optimist, and I usually find something to laugh about in most of life's adventures. I find that I am smiling most of the time. Conversation is important to me. After all, most of what we do is talk. I appreciate good stories and can tell a few of my own. Guys who can laugh at themselves & be goofy are highly valued by me. I'd say an ideal first date would be something that's fun on its own and low-pressure - go to a museum, zoo, flea market, antique store or art gallery, hang out at an open mic or coffeeshop for an afternoon, go bowling (which everyone, including myself, sucks at)or take a walk through the park. Something that would allow us to talk, and still enjoy the time even if we didn't really hit it off. Things that interest me: Elvis impersonators (especially foreign, children or female ones), Antiques, West Virginia trivia (since I'm from there), thrift stores and flea markets, history, live music and comedy. Favorite things: The Ricky Gervais Show podcast, movies by the Coen Brothers, old punk music, 80's & 90's music (esp. so-called alternative music), Flight of the Conchords, the U.K. sit-com "Coupling" (not the short-lived U.S. one), the TV show "Arrested Development" Not looking for just a h--k--p. Friends first!
