I hate writing these things! What can I say in a little box that would interest anyone....I've been out of the dating loop for 13 years, so this all seems rather daunting. Let's see: I'm 42, smart, independent, witty, compassionate, a bleeding-heart small-'l' liberal, and ever so slightly jaded. I'm a mother to an 11 year old son, self employed in the health care field (which means I'm on call a lot!), and very content with my life. I enjoy travel, reading, great conversation, music, coffee and drinks on balconies and patios, and just hanging out. I am hoping to find someone to complement my life, not complete it.

I've had enough drama in relationships to last me several lifetimes, so it would be refreshing to find someone sane, employed, and stable.

I'm looking for someone with a great sense of humour. I'm quick-witted, moderately sarcastic, with a tendency towards the ridiculous, and I love people who "get" me.

You can't be allergic to children (I have one) or cats (I've got three, which is one cat too many frankly).

You must understand my work is my calling, and it means that I can't easily travel spontaneously, and I never know if I'll be out the door at 2am.

Kindness, respect, and decency are cornerstones of my interpersonal relationships. I don't need to be coddled, but I need to know that your heart is true and your intentions are honourable.
