O'Doyle Rules... I'm just an experiment.

I make a conscious effort to dispel expectation whenever I feel it welling up inside of me. It tends to manifest itself as a kind of perverse insight -- it insinuates, it suggests, but it eventually lies. I want to appreciate thoughts and expressions without assumption, to evaluate and consider them as they are, and then continue. I have seen and felt a misguided sort of prescience in my time, and not the kind that appears in fantastic fiction. It's an impossible wisdom, and it presumes entire pictures from brief, obstructed glances. I want to see the thing honestly, to experience it and be changed by that, and then separate.

While imagination is the quality that I cherish most in people, I avoid shackling myself to any single vision... after all, is there any greater anathema to creativity than dogmatism?

I really enjoy listening to people filter their perspectives on the world through their own personal cosmologies... which is probably why I seem to gravitate toward people who seem to have fantastically lush inner lives. I just get excited when I meet people who force me to reconsider my approach to life, be it in a grand or a modest way.
