It's so hard to define myself in 2000 characters or less. I don't like to be labeled, and refuse to be put in a box (real or figurative... lol). Like most people, I am multi-faceted and it takes awhile to really get to know me. I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve (or at least what will fit of it), and generally expect the best of people. It gets me hurt sometimes, but what fun is life if you are always suspicious of others and expect the worst of them?I love sports of almost any kind, although fastpitch softball is by far my favorite (I currently help coach the varsity softball team at the school where I teach). I also enjoy playing volleyball, basketball, and golf, as well as watching my favorite teams, whether on tv or actually at a game. If the Cubs, the Colts, Notre Dame, or IU are playing, you better believe I'll be watching if possible.
I love to travel and have been to several different countries, as well as about 2/3 of the states. My goal is to have been to all 50 states and every continent (except maybe Antarctica) at some point in my life.
Music is one of life's greatest pleasures. I sing in the shower because it has good acoustics, the car because the radio is always on, and am the queen of karaoke. I love Christian rock (Disciple is probably my favorite), country music sometimes makes me cry, and Latin music often leads to spontaneous fits of dancing.
I'm a complete nerd at heart. I love reading, doing logic puzzles, doing crosswords, etc. I love to learn new things, and learn more about things I already know a little about.
My faith is an important aspect of who I am. I am a follower of Christ. As such I try to live my day-to-day life in a way that would be pleasing to Him. I'm not perfect by any means; I have made my fair share of mistakes and will continue to make mistakes in my life.
At this point in my life I'm past wanting to hang out in bars to meet people, so I've decided to give this a shot. Here goes nothing!
